More than 260 paintings were done by 40 juried artists recently at the Castine Plein Air Festival in Maine. Who won? Read on.

Juror Paul duSold named Philip Frey the First Place winner, Roberta Goschke the Second Place winner, and Paul George the Third Place winner. Suzanne Savage Brewer, Michael Chesley Johnson, Chrissy Nickerson, Chrissy Pahucki, and Michael Vermette won Honorable Mention awards.

A spokesperson from the host organization, the Castine Arts Association, reports that 85 paintings were sold during the two-hour reception and sale at the event’s end.
