The 12 days of Cedarburg Plein Air came and went quickly, according to participating artists, leaving us with a list of winners and some photos that show the fun. Who took home awards?
 
Frankie Johnson won Best of Show with her piece “Blue Glass & Clutter.” Nyle Gordon took Second with “Cedarburg Lilies.” Third Place went to Derek Davis for “A Story About Light,” and Tom Nachreiner won Fourth for “Rusty Spokes.”

Juror’s Choice awards went to Brian Sindler, Lori Beringer, and Mark Zelten. Artists’ Choice was won by Michael Reif (First Place) and Errol Jacobsen (Second Place). Mary Mayhew, Spencer Meager, Jeannie Clohisy, Jan Schmuckal, Darren Lillian, Errol Jacobsen, Lee Radke, and Bob Beck won Honorable Mention awards.
 
The Quick Paint competition was won by Tom Kubala, with Mark Zelten earning Second Place and Tom Nachreiner winning Third.
 
Tom Nachreiner won Fourth Place for “Rusty Spokes.”

Lee Radke won the Best Historic Cedarburg Award, with R.L. Weber taking Second in that category. The Paint Out in Port Washington was won by Deke Palecek, with Joyce Ksiozk taking Second and Thomas Trausch winning Third.

Quick Paint winner Tom Kubala

It was the 15th year for the event. “We had new venues, plenty of social times, and painting — lots of it,” reports Wendie Thompson, a participant. “It all left us with, in my opinion, the best body of work we ever had. Nothing like artists pouring their hearts out on canvas to make one weep.”
