Larry Cannon served as juror for the 9th Annual Frank Bette Plein Air Paintout, held recently in Alameda, California, in San Francisco Bay. The artists reportedly enjoyed foggy mornings and warm sunny afternoons, and the paintings suggest an amiable event. 

Best of Show was won by Jason Conn for his piece “Block of Cheese.” The Frank Bette Award went to Rhonda Egan for “Waiting to Play.” Honorable Mention was won by Nancy Seamons Crookston.

The Alameda Award was won by Justin Pastores for “Stinger.” Honorable Mention went to David Finnell.

The Island Award was won by Rebecca Hill for “Night Lights.” Honorable Mention went to Carol Rudisill.

The PAPo Award was given to A.D. Ballantyne, and the Quick Draw Artists’ Choice Award was won by Rebecca Hill.
