In conjunction with PACE 2022 (the Plein Air Convention & Expo), and the excitement of the convention returning as an IN PERSON event, I am on a 10-day bike riding loop, painting plein air daily as I go around the Santa Fe Region to celebrate!
I am inviting ANYONE attending this convention to consider joining me, for an hour or a couple of days, (in your car, or by bike), to warm up your painting skills en route to PACE.
An enticement is that we can show off (and sell!) the best of these paintings at a table I will man at the convention. You can also brag to friends that you are an experienced New Mexico painter when you arrive!
I’ve headed out from Santa Fe and am returning to the Buffalo Thunder Resort the afternoon of Monday, May 16th. The convention starts late afternoon on Tuesday the 17th (plenty of time to get cleaned up!).
The route will begin at Glorieta Pass, onto Pecos National Historic Site, the historic town of Las Vegas, Ft. Union on the Santa Fe Trail, up to Philmont Scout Ranch and Cimarron, west from there to Eagle Nest and Angel Fire, down into Taos, across the gorge to Tres Piedras, south and east through the gorge and Orilla Verde Nat. Recreation area to Pilar and eventually to the resort! Many more sites en route.
Check out the ‘world premier’ film of our 2021 adventure, “PAINT THE WAY ‘CROSS THE USA – BY BIKE” on opening night at PACE (which now has an online option for attending). For more information, contact me at [email protected] or through lewisartwilliams.com.
