Noted East Coast plein air painter Nancy Tankersley and Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, stalwart Jacalyn Beam team up for a show at Chadds Ford Gallery this month.
Tankersley, who is a prominent member of the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association, is actually showing a lot of still lifes in this show. Beam, who is a devoted outdoor painter, is showcasing her plein air work.
“Kennett Spring,” by Jacalyn Beam, oil
“Chadds Ford Village,” by Jacalyn Beam, oil, 41 x 31 in.
“Jacalyn is the hardest-working painter I know,” says Jackie Winther, the owner of Chadds Ford Gallery. “She is out there every single day, no matter what the weather, all over the place around Chadds Ford. It’s really a beautiful show.”
The exhibition is on view through April 27.
