Information about the artist:
Jeanne Echternach is a transplanted New Englander, having grown up along the New Hampshire coast. But she has called Colorado home for many years now. She began her formal training when she was 12, having a sense even at that young age that painting was her passion.
The natural beauty of Colorado was the primary inspiration for Jeanne to begin painting en plein air. She paints outdoors regularly and that has greatly influenced her studio work as well. Her vibrant work has received recognition in both regional and national exhibits.
Jeanne’s distinctive brushwork and use of color makes her work a favorite among collectors. She is a member of Oil Painters of America, American Impressionist Painters, and a Signature Member of Plein Air Artists Colorado.
Recent awards include the Blue Ridge Oils Merit Award at the 2015 American Impressionist Society National Exhibit, and First Place at the 2015 Alla Prima Westcliffe exhibit.
