“Painting outdoors with its ever changing conditions is my passion. I see my paintings as a testament to the natural sources of light. Capturing the mood and telling the story based on subtle nuances of the scenery is my source of inspiration. I am always trying to achieve it through tonal balance and color integrity of the painting as a whole at the same time preserving transparency and vibrancy of watercolor medium. Technically, I’m trying to achieve complexity of the surrounding conditions through very limited brushwork which is very challenging and requires expertize in media I’m working with. The way I see it, it is the path chosen for my development as an artist. As I was born and raised in the city, Urban Landscapes especially play large part in my paintings. With its complex and vibrant atmosphere, they hold vast amount of venues to explore.”
