Why is it that most of the winners in a Plein Air Salon are very obviously not done in plain air?
There are a large variety of categories including a Plein Air category. All artists are eligible.
How do we see art work submitted in other areas like pencil sketches, portraits, etc? Was there any recognition in other areas than the nine above (which are excellent!)

Is the term “plein air” considered to include paintings done from life but not outdoors? I love the winners here but some look as though they were done in a studio. Not a criticism, just a question.
