Bonnie Zahn Griffith’s love of landscapes is easily recognized by her use of vivid colors. Her work in oil pastel brings the viewer in to experience the time of day, temperature and the sound and smells. “I want the viewer to experience the work and get lost in it—even for a moment,” says Bonnie.
Learn to improve your own pastel techniques in Bonnie’s one day pastel painting workshop. It will be held during the Eagle Plein Air Festival on June 3 in Boise, Idaho. The hands-on workshop will focus on composition, creating an underpainting and balancing shapes to develop a strong painting using soft pastels.
