November 15 is the deadline to enter the annual Shadows-on-the-Teche Plein Air Competition, slated for March 10-16, 2018 in New Iberia, Louisiana. Details here!

There are always great subjects to paint en plein air no matter the location, but I can only imagine how exhilarating it would be to capturing a 500-year-old wild oak in the deep south of Louisiana. Set in New Iberia, Louisiana, the Shadows-on-the-Teche Plein Air Competition in March 2018 will offer just that — and so much more — to those artists juried into the event. The deadline for submissions is November 15; they will be judged by renowned painter Erik Koeppel. Koeppel will also host a three-day plein air workshop following the competition, from March 17-19.

Applicants should be 18 years or older and submit three high-quality photos of original artworks. There is also an application and $40 fee. Accepted artists will compete for more than $6,500 in cash prizes.
