Opening Friday, November 10, “A Longing for Home” is a fantastic exhibition of recent works by well-known artist Kathie Odom. On view in Atlanta, Georgia, at Lagerquist Gallery, “A Longing for Home” features Odom’s recent exploration of church houses en plein air. The artist’s spiritual subjects are captured in a variety of seasons and times of day, showcasing Odom’s range as a plein air artist. In addition to being remarkably beautiful, the paintings evoke a sense of Southern history, culture, and nostalgia.
