Word is that attendance was “heavy” at the Los Gatos Plein Air event, which concluded on June 21. Best of Show went to a familiar name.

John Guernsey took top honors for his piece “Backyard Garden.” Second Place was won by Yer Za Vue, for “Calero Reservoir,” and Wayne McKenzie earned Third Place for his painting “Fun Day.”

The Artists’ Choice Award was won by Will Maller for “Vasona Delight.” Honorable Mention awards were given to Tonya Zenin and Brenda Boylan. Paul Kratter served as juror.

The event, sponsored by the Los Gatos Morning Rotary Club, attracted 34 artists from various states. “The event is a well-organized, artist-friendly event that offers up some great scenery and hospitality,” reports Boylan.
