Mia Jaworski and friends, plein air painting: Having a positive, supportive group of artists is the best part!

We love to hear from the Plein Air Today community! The following is part of a series that spotlights an artist who loves painting outdoors. Today’s feature is on Mia Jaworski.

“Our group’s favorite place to paint is amongst the balsam pines, mountains, and lakes of northern New Hampshire,” says Plein Air Today reader Mia Jaworski.

“We all love to be outside in the mountain’s fresh air with good friends (and sometimes kissing horses!). Our weekly plein air sessions are much loved and well attended. Some dabble in oils, some acrylics, and some watercolors. One even does pastels (but she found out that’s not so good on hot days!).

“Overall, we do landscapes with waterfalls, creeks, or lakes. Flowers grow abundantly here, so we all incorporate lots of color into our plein air paintings. Having a positive, supportive group of artists is the best part!”
