Last week the Central Coast Plein Air Painters opened its exhibition “Scenic Roadways of Monterey County” and announced award winners. Who did judge Maggie Renner Hellman chose?

Mark Monsarrat won First Place for his painting “Central Coast Harvest.” Nicki Robarge Bernacchi took Second with “The Golden Door.” Third Place went to Marie Massey for “Fisherman’s Wharf,” and Bobbie Brainerd, Donna Robbins, and Murray Wagnon won Honorable Mention.
The pieces in the show will be on display for a year in the Transportation Agency for Monterey County Offices in Salinas, California.
