We love to hear from the Plein Air Today community! The following is part of a series that spotlights an artist who loves painting outdoors. Today’s feature is on Sandy Schmidt.

“I paint in oils because they are so forgiving,” said Sandy Schmidt. “This was painted at the local nature center in Schaumburg, Illinois. I use oils both in the studio and outdoors. Make a mistake or mix the ‘wrong’ hue; it can be fixed usually right on the spot!” ~ Sandy Schmidt
