Jackson’s Art Supplies in London, England, is offering more than $7,000 in prizes in its 2016 competition, which is open to artists anywhere working in any kind of 2-D medium.

Lead Image: Plein air painters will be among those competing for the $7,000 in prizes offered in the Jackson’s Open Art Prize.

The art materials manufacturer and retailer says on its website that both “contemporary” and “traditional” work will be considered. A look at past winners posted at the site reveal a wide range of approaches and levels of technical skill.
