North of Albany, New York, is the cottage where President Ulysses S. Grant passed his final days. The historic site is the location of a plein air event scheduled for August 27.

An auction will follow the day of paintings, and artists who pay to participate in the event (for $25) are invited to set up a 10’-x-10’ tent in which to show their work.
