Picturesque boats in the harbor in Tarpon Springs, Florida

It has the highest percentage of people with Greek heritage of any U.S. town, and it was put on the map by its sponge diving. It’s Tarpon Springs, Florida, and painters are converging on it November 6 through 9 for Tarpon Springs Plein Air.

The event is open to both plein air painting and photography, and it culminates in a week-long show at Artists’ Faire Gallery & Gift Shop. A quick draw will be held on November 10 in the town.
