The Plein Air Painters of America will host a series of master workshops this fall featuring several notable guests and opportunities you don’t want to miss. When is it, and where?

The Madeline Island School of the Arts in Wisconsin will host the Plein Air Painters of America master workshops in 2017, September 25 through 29. There are a number of notable guests and event programming that you can choose to attend!

Publisher Allan Duerr of Art of the West magazine will host a lecture with Rose Fredrick, curator for the Coors Western Art Exhibit & Sale, discussing how artists can advance their careers the right way, earning notice from editors, gallery owners, collectors, and museums.

So, you have a lot of killer plein air paintings. Now what? That’s a question that guest artist Kate Starling hopes to answer during her talk titled “Beyond Plein Air.” Through analysis of field studies that she reinterpreted into larger works, Kate will discuss how to expand ideas and deepen meaning when working in the studio.

There will also be an “Open Mic Night” during which attendees can have all their questions answered by six of the top painters working today. The team of professionals includes Andy Evansen, John Cosby, Kathleen Dunphy, Joseph McGurl, Joe Paquet, and Skip Whitcomb.
