Spring in Monterey sounds pretty good right now, and it’s also more affordable right now — admission to the Plein Air Convention & Expo (PACE) is going to get more expensive after February 14.

The organizers of PACE say that toward deadline, there’s a bit of rush on registration for the event, which will be held this year April 7-11 in sunny Monterey, California. Starting February 14, the early-bird savings of $200 disappear.

People who sign up for PACE will benefit from instruction from the likes of Kevin Macpherson, Dan Gerhartz, Camille Przewodek, Lori Putnam, John Burton, Dawn Whitelaw, Lynn Gertenbach, Joseph McGurl, Lorenzo Chavez, Andy Evansen, and dozens more. The diversity of offerings is larger in 2014 as well, with beefed-up programs for watercolor and pastel.
