The Monterey Peninsula Regional Park District is accepting entries for its “Wildflowers of Garland Park” exhibition, which will be on view at the Visitor Center at Garland Ranch Regional Park from April 19 to Aug. 10. Any two-dimensional artwork depicting the wildflowers of Garland Park is eligible. The deadline for entries is March 3. View the prospectus here.

Brazier Gallery in Richmond, Virginia, will host the 3rd Annual Plein Air Richmond event June 23-28. Artists are asked to group around a new location in Richmond each day, with the public invited to watch them paint. One notable activity at the event is the Fast and Fresh quick draw competition, in which the paintings are sold right off the easel to benefit the Richmond Symphony. To be one of the 35 artists invited to participate, meet the deadline of March 15; find out more through Brazier Gallery.
