Update: Cooler weather has put the kibosh on Amy DiGi’s bikini, but her series of plein air self-portraits capturing her developing pregnancy continues.

“I was hoping to get one more outside, but the weather went cold and damp; one thing I don’t want is to be sick,” she says. “I believe sunlight is the best teacher for painting, so I’m very curious to see how it will change my paintings in the upcoming months. Also I’ll be switching to a more square format when I’m close to the end of this pregnancy for seated poses. I’ll continue to paint outside, just with more clothes than this bikini.”
