Joan Marie Palmer was among the painters who visited the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens recently as part of a Salmagundi Club outing.

The assembled artists arrived at the gardens in the midst of Rose Week, the time when the roses are in peak bloom. It was the last of the spring paint-outs for the club; they are in the process of scheduling the summer get-togethers.
