After an early education at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and a 15 year career in commercial art, as an Art Director and Illustrator on the East Coast, Kersey relocated to San Francisco and studied painting at the Academy of Art University. She later taught painting and drawing in the Fine Art Department at the Academy.
Kersey has participated in gallery shows, national juried shows, and museum invitational shows, including the Greenhouse Gallery Salon International, California Art Club’s Gold Medal Exhibition, Scottsdale Salon of Fine Art, Cowgirl Up! Museum Invitational, Torrey Pines Plein Air Invitational, Maui Plein Air Invitational, and the Oil Painters of America’s National and Western Regional Exhibitions.
