In concert with the Middlebury Land Trust and the Town of Middlebury’s Land Preservation, the Pomperaug Outdoor Painters will host a one-day plein air paint out from 8:30 A.M. to 3 P.M. this Saturday, September 30. A rain date has been set for October 7.

The paint-out and quick draw competitions will be hosted by the Brookdale Farm. The QuickDraw will take place at 9:30 a.m. with a two-hour time limit. Registration is open and may be found here. Guest artist Tom Adkins of Southbury will be judging entries this weekend and will award a $300 Best of Show. Attendees will pick their People’s Choice, which will earn one artist $200. Finally, participating artists will choose their favorite for a $100 Artists’ Choice award. Paintings created during the event will be available for purchase, with a portion of onsite sales being donated to the Middlebury Land Trust to support land conservation programs.
