The next issue of PleinAir magazine is on the way, and here are some highlights to inspire you.

The December-January issue of PleinAir features a special section on paintings done in national parks, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service. There’s also our 2017 Ultimate Guide to Plein Air Events & Organizations, a resource you will want to use all year.

In the features, you’ll read about Virginia artist Daniel Robbins and his embrace of both abstract and representational art, Dee Beard Dean’s pursuit of capturing a sense of light and air in the landscape, and Shanna Kunz’s experimentation within series. There are also pieces on Susiehyer, Daniel James Keys, Chuck Marshall, and Mike Simpson.
