Head to Breckenridge, Colorado, August 5-7 for the 9th Annual Wild About Colorado Plein Air Art & Outdoor Festival, pick up some paintings, and help fund the land conservation efforts of the Continental Divide Land Trust (CDLT).

The festival features hikes, workshops, and parties, and the 15 juried artists compete for prizes. There’s a Quick Draw on Saturday morning and a Sunday closing brunch designed to let collectors and painters mingle.

“Plein air events address a different demographic than typical land conservation audiences,” says Leigh Girvin, the former executive director of CDLT. “The people we attract with Wild About Colorado are interested in art, especially plein air, and want to participate in workshops and attend parties where art is for sale. And, of course, landscape artists need land to paint as their subject. This emphasizes that connection.”
