First Prize and the Callaway Purchase Award went to Jane Chapin for

The Georgia resort and nature preserve Callaway Gardens holds a Paint Out each spring, with substantial prizes available to artists. This year’s event resulted in a First Prize award going to Jane Chapin for her piece “Azalea Bowl Painters.”

Second Place went to Barbara Davis for her painting “Hummingbird Lake,” 2013, oil, 19 x 15 in.

John Guernsey won Third Place for “Morning Reflections,” 2013, oil, 15 x 11 in.

Morgan Samuel Price won Honorable Mention for “Gazing Through the Snowball Tree.” 

5.-NEWS.CALLAWAY.-G-Mani-Spring-Twilight
Gloria Mani’s “Spring Twilight” also won Honorable Mention.

6-1.-NEWS.CALLAWAY.-K-Odon-Midday-Blush
“Midday Blush,” by Kathy Odom, won Honorable Mention.

7.-NEWS.CALLAWAY.-R-OShea-Shing-Through
“Shining Through,” by Rae O’Shea, won Honorable Mention as well.
