Myra Knapp, “Waltz Across Texas,” oil, 24 x 30 inches

The New Braunfels Art League in Texas recently opened a fantastic fall show featuring the works of five talented women that’s sure to delight viewers.

A beautiful selection of paintings by Myra Knapp, Mary McIntosh, Joanna Burch, Jean Crow, and Cindy Davis are currently embellishing the walls of the New Braunfels Art League in Texas this September.  Opened on September 8 and on view through October 1, the show was McIntosh’s desire to expose the works of artists she admires to local collectors and galleries.  Knapp and McIntosh have been friends for years and have painted plein air together before.  Part of the show includes five still life paintings done by each of the participating artists, which they completed together.  The exhibition is a great display of each artist’s individual style and features both plein air and studio works.
