The Mississippi artist calls efforts such as this “airplein air.” Poole is an artist member of the American Society of Aviation Artists, but he’s finding that time outside the studio is beneficial. “I just began getting into plein air painting in November as a means to sharpen my color awareness and am now addicted,” he says.
