“All of the park is beautiful this time of year, but I specifically headed for Gapstow Bridge for several reasons,” says Ruckdeschel. “I love it — the ivy on the bridge turns a brilliant burgundy in the fall, and there is a spot to set up off the beaten path. The light was a gift of the season, and the red under the bridge was the first color on the canvas.”
