The Ontario County Arts Council sponsored the Finger Lakes Plein Air Competition & Festival the first week of June in Canandaigua, New York, with the top prize going to Chad Smith.

Smith won Best in Show for his piece “Tracks in Sunset.” Second Place was pulled in by Kathie Odom for “Once Upon a Vine,” and Richard Thomas took Third Place with “Lagoon Park Allegory.” Deborah Hill, Adriana Meiss, Nikolay Mikushkin, Carrie Nixon, Roland E. Stevens III, and Mikel Wintermantel earned Honorable Mention awards.
