Now through May 28, Texas artist Cecy Turner will be featured at Artists’ Showplace Gallery in Dallas.
Turner was born and raised in Dallas, so this show will be fully rooted in her background — but don’t think this artist is limited to the local. Turner is well traveled and in demand as a lecturer and juror across the country.

“I am fascinated with the glow of reflected light on various surfaces,” she says. “Painting on location on a regular basis has opened many doors for me. I cannot improve nature, but I can rearrange and simplify it to correspond to what I feel.”
