Shore Song
8 x 19 in.
Soft pastels

Shore Song was created during a visit to Grayton Beach and Santa Rosa Beach in Florida. Every year Jane visits her son and family there, and she plein air paints almost daily. Thanks to her family setting up chairs, snacks, beverages, and umbrellas, she has the perfect place to create her art. For Shore Song, first a thumbnail sketch was done, and then the piece was painted with soft pastels on black Canson paper.

Jane has been an active artist practically all her life. She studied art at the Atlanta High Museum of Art, University of Georgia, Denver Art Museum, and Art Students League of Denver. Her paintings not only reflect her love of nature, but also her love of color, light, and the impressionistic style. Her goal is to share her artistic passion for art with other artists and art lovers through the paintings she creates and workshops she facilitates.

Her painting Shore Song was recently awarded 2nd Place Overall at the Plein Air Artists Colorado 23rd Annual National Show 2019.

Jane is represented by Saks Galleries, Cherry Creek in Denver, Colorado
