Kim Casebeer with two paintings
Kim Casebeer delivering two paintings to Mountain Trails Gallery in Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Kim Casebeer: I find inspiration in nature in a variety of ways. It can be in the places I go near where I live, or in the places that I visit. Revisiting the same places allows me to study a location more deeply. For example, I’ve painted at the Oxbow Bend in the Teton National Park many times, but there’s always something new and interesting with the different seasons, the light, or the atmosphere. It’s when I get to know a place that I can bring more of my feelings for it into a painting, such as “Afternoon Development on the Oxbow”.
