If you’re curious about how watermixable oils work and why you’d use them to begin with, you don’t want to miss this!

As part of his daily live video broadcasts, Eric Rhoads interviewed Lori McNee, who has been painting with watermixable oils for about 30 years.

In the video below, Lori demystifies the medium. She explains that more people (especially plein air painters) are moving away from traditional oils for a variety of reasons, including the transition to “going green,” since watermixable oils are non-toxic, more environmentally friendly, and are better for the artist’s physical health.

During the interview, Lori shows her studio easel set up, including why and how she uses it; answers audience questions; and shares a painting demonstration.
