The Door County Plein Air Festival in Fish Creek, Wisconsin (sponsored by the Peninsula School of Art) saw another year of success, with $18,000 in awards and 35 invited plein air painters.
“Our 17th annual event resulted in a concentrated week of art making which culminated into record-breaking sales for PenArt and the Door County Plein Air Festival,” said organizers.
“As a non-profit organization, this is tremendous for us as it helps fund the work we do year-round within the community. But for the 33 featured artists whose training, hard work, and creativity resulted in such a fast-paced, lucrative week, it was phenomenal. It also put some really great paintings on the walls of our collectors!”
