The dust is settling after another great year of plein air painting at Plein Air-Easton! in Easton, Maryland, and here’s the skinny.
DeWaard’s painting “A Waterman’s Life” won the Artists’ Choice Award, which earned him $500 and a full-page ad in PleinAir magazine.
58 artists from 5 continents created 116 paintings during 6 days. The event included a lavish dinner on 1 of the estates on Talbot County’s 700 miles of waterfront. More than $20,000 in prizes was awarded, and more than $325,000 worth of artwork was sold, including $172,000 in sales just at the Collector’s Preview Party. Sales were up 20 percent from last year.
