On view through February 8, “Plein Air Here & There” showcases the outdoor paintings of Jean-Pierre Jacquet at the Greenwich Art Society Gallery in Greenwich, CT.

Views from Greenwich, Wyoming, Maui, Florida, Paris, and Southern France are presented in Jacquet’s inimitable style in the show.

“These paintings are plein air works done over the past three years, in the United States and France,” Jacquet says. “The U.S. paintings are for the most part Greenwich and vicinity landscapes, in order to attract local collectors. I threw in some views from Maui, Arizona, Wyoming, Florida to add a touch of exoticism. The French paintings consist of Paris views and landscapes from southern villages. Stylistically, these pieces tend to reflect my fondness for strong composition and loose brushstrokes.”
