Lee MacLeod, “Sprague Lake Reflections”, oil on board, 11 x 14in, Available through the artist

Lee MacLeod: Lee MacLeod is looking forward to participating in this year’s Estes Valley Plein Air event in Colorado in August. As he says, “painting in and around the Rocky Mountain National Park is challenging but rewarding, especially when I actually succeed in creating something!” While Lee and his wife live in Santa Fe, there are deep ties with Estes Park on his wife’s side of the family. Consequently, he is always excited to be invited to this event, hosted by the Art Center of Estes Park, as there is so much family history surrounding both Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park. The event begins August 19th and culminates with an opening Gala on August 26th.
