Lee MacLeod: I have long been fascinated by the mesas in the West. I recently spent a week painting at Ghost Ranch near Abiquiu in New Mexico which has prominent mesas that are very easy to access as well as grand vistas to the south. I came away with several paintings that I particularly liked. I felt they summed up the week’s experience and caught the drama I witnessed. These three pieces as well as other Western landscapes are currently on display at Worrell Gallery in Santa
Fe.
