An artist in residency at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore gives painters a chance to work along Lake Michigan in July or August for two weeks.
Artists have until March 24 to mail in their application materials for this opportunity. Lodging is provided, but nothing else, nor is there a stipend. Artists are expected to donate one piece from the residency and host one public program.
The area boasts prairies, bogs, woods, historic homesteads, and a 123-foot dune known as Mt. Baldy.
