“I often hear people say that painting is relaxing, but I don’t find that to be true at all. For me, it’s usually painfully, brutally difficult, and frustrating. And even after all that, many times the painting fails miserably. Still, I find it all totally worthwhile when a painting hits its mark. It’s such an amazing, incredible euphoria to know that I created a unique expression of light and the landscape.”
