Want to win a free art video workshop? It’s easy — simply join our January Plein Air Challenge by sharing your art with us! This month’s challenge is painting sunrises. Your sunrise can be created on site or in the studio, a painting or a sketch, a new or older artwork, and created in any media.
A winner will be chosen at random (this is not juried or judged based on the work itself) and contacted on January 22, 2019.
Here’s how to enter the “Painting Sunrises” challenge:
• Follow Plein Air magazine on Instagram
• Post an image of your sunrise painting on Instagram
• Tag @pleinairmag and include the hashtag #paintingsunrises in your description/comment
Enter as many times as you like over the course of the challenge! Each post equals one additional entry.
The contest is now open (January 14, 2019) through January 21. This month’s Plein Air Challenge prize is an Easel Brush Clip and West Fraser’s art video workshop, “Creating the Color of Light” (preview it below!). This cinematic DVD production includes instruction on how to create a composition, sketch your design, start a painting, and more!
