We love to hear from the Plein Air Today and PleinAir® Magazine community! The following is part of a series that spotlights an artist who loves painting outdoors. Today’s feature is on Susan Benigni-Landis.
“I really enjoy PleinAir Magazine, both online and in hard copy, as well as your other offerings, and recently saw your call for emails to share a plein air selfie at a favorite place to paint.
“I thought I would try this on a recent paint out with my local painting group and attempted to get part of the magazine in the photo. My favorite place to paint is anywhere that includes water/woods/mountains, as there is always so much of interest in every season and the layers of color fascinate me. Thus, a local nature preserve in southcentral Pennsylvania is one of my favorite places to paint, using oils. Attached is my selfie attempt on a cold, windy day.”
