Ron Larson has been the subject of a solo show titled “Vistas & Visions of the Colorado Plateau” at the John Wesley Powell Museum since February 2015 — but he just added 15 new paintings to the selection, as well as a manuscript describing the project. And the show has been extended through June 30.

Larson gave a lecture at the show’s opening, and he will bookend the exhibition with a second lecture, six weeks before it closes on May 18. He explored much of the 240,000-square-mile Colorado Plateau and documented it with oil and watercolor paintings, traveling from Utah to New Mexico, from the Grand Canyon to Grand Staircase-Escalante National Park, from rivers to wide open spaces.
