Things have already heated up in Louisiana, with the Shadows on the Teches Gala and Art Auction raising more than $25,000 for local art education programs and $2,500 in prizes awarded to artists.
The event, which ran April 11-18, featured 26 artists and 51 paintings. New Orleans artist Phil Sandusky served as juror.
Pastelist Mary Monk took First Place in the event, with Richard Abraham winning Second Place and Hilari Baranco earning Third. Chuck Broussard, Susan Clark, Claude Ellender, Ann Sutton, and Garth Swanson won Honorable Mention.
