Paint all day one day, sell them the next in a Taos gallery. That’s the plan for Peggy Immel, Susan McCullough, and Coni Grant.

On Friday, July 29, the three artists will each paint a 6” x 8” painting every hour from sunup to sundown along Taos’s Kit Carson Road, and the unframed pieces will immediately be for sale at Wilder Nightingale Gallery, in Taos, New Mexico. The trio plans to price the pieces to move.
“We decided that we would like to have a unique event that would create excitement about our work and also be a lot of fun in the bargain,” says Immel. “Summer is tourism season here in Taos and we want to bring more of those visitors to the Kit Carson Road area where many of the galleries are located. Rob Nightingale, the owner of Wilder Nightingale Fine Art, liked our idea and we picked a date.”
The artists were still working out the logistics at press time, but the excitement for the one-day marathon was already building. “It is going to be a long day of painting, but I think we will have a lot of fun,” McCullough says. “I am hoping for great weather.”
