Cold weather does not deter the painters of Wisconsin. In fact, they celebrate it, as in the 2nd annual Paint the Point: Winter Edition event held recently in Mineral Point.

Eighteen artists gathered in Mineral Point February 10-12, coming from several states to compete for prizes and paint the winter scenes in Southern Wisconsin. Lori Beringer won Best in Show with her piece “Winter Quiet.” Wendie Thompson won First Prize with “Light Unto My Path.” Lisa Stauffer took Second Prize with her painting “From the Setting Sun,” and Marc Anderson won Third Prize for “Late Morning Light.” Judith Anderson won Honorable Mention.
