The ninth annual Paint the Beach plein air painting competition concluded November 3 with a reception at the Fort Myers Beach Art Association gallery. It was a festive atmosphere, well attended by artists and art lovers. Judge Joe Palmerio deliberated carefully as he selected the winning paintings from those presented by the artists after two days of painting outdoors around the town of Fort Myers Beach. Awards were presented to those selected, with the top three winners featuring the local shrimp boat fleet, always a favorite subject.
